Popis: 1. TRAILER FOR THE FILM "MAY" In the trailer's opening scene, some members of the upper middle class are having a picnic in the countryside, while striking workers carrying banners are rushing towards them and spoil their excursion. Then is the film title, followed by the scene of tobacco workers holding a rally, where a spokesman of the workers addresses them over the loudspeakers and analyzes the adverse conditions at work and their rights. Then is the scene at the railway station, where a panel of government officials arrive and the scene at the minister's office, where major industrialists hold talks about the alarming condition brought about by the escalating strike of tobacco workers and the impact on the country's economy. While this is all happening in the streets of Thessaloniki, demonstrations flare up and demonstrators begin clashing with the police. The next extract is from the scene at a coffee-house, where the police keep watch over the patrons. There is another extract from the strikers holding a rally and engaging in head-on clashes with armed police, who shoot in cold blood. The trailer concludes with an extract from the scene of the strikers in a procession through the streets carrying the body of the worker killed during the outbreak of violence, and singing revolutionary songs. The end title is displayed against a black background and reads "A Tassos Psarras' film". (STREETS IN THESSALONIKI – A RAILWAY STATION – THE MINISTER'S OFFICE – A COFEE-HOUSE)
2. TRAILER FOR THE FILM "THE MURDERESS" The trailer's opening scene displays the title "SEMELI FILMS PRESENTS" and a montage of images from an arson scene. The film title "THE MURDERESS" is shown against a red background. Next is the scene of Fragkogiannou running towards the police, while the murderess is kneading bread. The leading actress's name, MARIA ALKAIOU, appears against a red background and is followed by an extract from the scene in the fields, where Fragkogiannou's mother with her dress tucked up is fleeing Karatasos' bandits, while the narrator (Manos Katrakis) recites an extract from the book about her magic powers. Then is the film title "THE MURDERESS", based on Alexandros Papadiamantis's like-named literary work. This is followed by various characteristic shots of the film superimposed by titles: "A KOSTAS FERRIS'S film", "2 AWARDS AT THE THESSALONIKI FESTIVAL", "BEST DIRECTION AWARD – BEST ACTRESS AWARD TO MARIA ALKAIOU". There are shots of children playing on the patio, while Fragkogiannou is choking a baby. The film title is shown again and the recitation from Papadiamantis's work continues with the account of the murderess's arrest by the police. There is a shot of the police breaking down the murderess's house front door to arrest and question her son as well as shots of Fragkogiannou with the police and farmers hot on her heels. After a lot of running around, the murderess comes to the sea. She goes into the water and keeps moving through it, while the following titles appear: "MARIA ALKAIOU – FOIVOS TAXIARCHIS", "DIMITRA ZEZA – LAZOS TERZAS – DIMITRIS POULIKAKOS", "music STAVROS LOGARIDIS", "directed by KOSTAS FERRIS", "THE MURDERESS". The titles with the film awards are shown once again. For the duration of the last scene, the narrator (Manos Katrakis's voice) provides information about Fragkogiannou: her life and emotions while she is being pursued by the police: "She didn't expect them to have any mercy on her. They have arrived. The police have arrived. They were tipped off or somehow tracked her down…". The trailer concludes with shots of the village square and people making merry and dancing, the film title one last time and some shots in vivid colours of a stooping old woman sneaking away, while a fire is burning. 3. TRAILER FOR THE FILM "GOLDEN-HAIRED" The trailer's opening scene displays the film title and the director's name against a black background: "GOLDEN-HAIRED, a TONIS LYKOURESIS' film". In a school classroom, the local authorities (the chairman of the local council, a policeman, the priest etc.) and some villagers attend a speech about contemporary hygiene standards: porcelain toilet bowls. The teacher (Antonis Katsaris) stands trial: the local authorities have been railing against the teacher, who "stands trial" at Konte's house. At the back of a big lorry, the theatre company are happily on their way to the villages in the area where they will be giving performances of "Golden-haired". The police captain has a roadblock set up and refuses them permission to present any more performances. The priest (Nikos Alevras), accompanied by some of the most conservative villagers, excommunicates Anastasios, the heretic teacher: "Such a blasphemous and disgraceful teacher must be severely punished". In a schoolroom the performance is rehearsed. The teacher plays the role of Golden-haired. During his denunciation in Kontes’s house, the teacher defends himself. Sempros (Vaggelis Kazan) out of control names the teacher and Eleni “antichrists”. Eleni (Vera Krouska) talks back. Kontes reacts while Sempros leaves. The teacher and Eleni remain alone and silent while the narrator’s voice over announces the names of the protagonists and the film title, as well as that the film is shot on Zakynthos with the participation of the habitants. He refers to the film as the apocalypse of this year’s Thessaloniki Film Festival. Titles appear that refer to the awarding of the film in the Thessaloniki Film Festival of 1978.
